We’re seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable Café Associate to join our team. This all-around role is perfect for someone who loves the fast pace of food service, enjoys engaging with people, and takes pride in delivering excellent customer experiences. From making lattes to preparing sandwiches, you’ll be an essential part of our daily operations and the face of our café.

Food Preparation & Counter Service Associates

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers with a positive attitude, take orders accurately, and ensure every guest feels welcome and valued.

• Coffee & Beverage Preparation: Craft espresso drinks, drip coffee, teas, and specialty beverages to our standards.

• Food Preparation: Assist with food preparation for all menu items, assemble sandwiches and salads, as well as grab & go offerings.

• Point of Sale: Operate the register (Toast POS), process payments, and maintain accuracy in all transactions.

• Team Support: Work collaboratively with coworkers to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.

• Cleanliness & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all food safety and sanitation standards.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous kitchen experience is a must. Must be comfortable using knives, slicing machine, flat top & stove as well as maintain exceptional cleanliness

• Candidate should be comfortable to learn closing procedures and take key holder responsibilities. This is not an entry level position.

• A positive, engaging personality and excellent communication skills.

• A genuine passion for coffee, food, and hospitality.

• Ability to multi-task and stay upbeat in a fast-paced environment.

• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of teamwork to stay busy through the shift

• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems (Toast) is advantageous.

• Flexible scheduling - at least one weekend day and weekdays are required, but we can coordinate schedule on a weekly basis or make adjustments as needed. Note that our shop hours are 6:30am-5pm (which may extend during the summer). We do not have night shifts at this time.

• Anticipated 20-32 hours per week (across 3-4 days) which can fluctuate depending on business level and candidate availability

Position Status: Part-time (must have weekend availability)
